ZINDAGI ANION SANITARY NAPKINS – SEEDS OF HEALTH

Menstruation is a natural process that occurs in the female body starting at puberty and continuing till the age of 45-50.

Though menstruation cycle represents a healthy body, it is never talked about openly.

Words like menstruation and periods are spoken only in hushed tones in public. Though we are living in a so called millennium society but we still use phrases like “I am down” instead of “I’m on my period
Moreover a culture of silence maintained on these topics often leads to problems as women living in rural areas do not understand their bodies and are not even allowed to talk about it.

When will we break these social taboos? In order to change or bring a change we first need to change our own perspective.
Zindagi Khul Ke Jiyo – Live Life to the fullest / Live life openly
Periods is a gift from God to women, one that they should not hide at all

  • We live in a society that teaches women to keep menstruation under wraps
  • Question to be asked is why should a natural process be talked about in whispers?
  • In our culture people celebrate the Period of Goddess but forbid entry of women in temples during the five days of her menstrual cycle.
  • In our country cigarettes are sold in fancy packages but sanitary napkins are sold wrapped in black plastic
  • Women cannot enter the kitchen in the name of purity during those five days
  • Why do women still feel embarrassed to purchase sanitary napkins?
